One of the smuggling trails in Cardamom Mountains. Very scenic and very technical, but with a chance to cool off in the river!
The whole day out on one of the old smuggling trails. Extremely beautiful and very technical. This is nothing you should attempt on your own, so I contacted Nick Berry, a legend in the Cardamom Mountains who has been running dirtbike trips here for the last 15 years. The trail took us through overgrown narrow paths, across rivers and up some very steep rocky sections. There are eagles, crocodiles, leopards and tigers around, and we actually found footprints of a Clouded Leopard! No sign of the puss itself though... But just knowing they were there somewhere was great! Heat was killing us, but fortunately there was a chance to cool off in the river!
